these spectacular textiles, known as frazadas, have been hand-woven in Bolivia and Peru since pre-Hispanic times.
each frazada (blanket) is created from 100% sheep’s wool and colored with natural dyes, taking weeks to complete.
the woven patterns are unique to each artisan in their color, texture, and design, signifying local identity and lineage.
no two pieces are ever the same.
this pillow was fabricated using one-of-a-kind textiles.
due to antiquity and/or unique quality, it is not unexpected to find variations in the weave, texture and color of these fibers.
